The Park City Soccer Club invites you to apply to the 8th Annual Park City Extreme Cup to be held Thursday, August 4 - Saturday, August 6, 2011. The Extreme Cup is one of the most highly regarded tournaments in the State of Utah ~ well organized and played on 24 pristine fields in and around the resort community of Park City. Last year’s tournament hosted a record setting 263 teams from 7 states and was sold out for the fourth consecutive year!

Superb Soccer.

The Extreme Cup is a US Youth Soccer sanctioned tournament for boys and girls ages U9 through U18; US Club Soccer teams are also eligible to participate.  Teams are accepted into the tournament based on past participation, record and registration date, with priority given to out-of-state teams. Nearly 60% of the 2010 entrants were Premier or Division I teams, however the Extreme Cup strives to offer play at a variety of levels whenever possible through its Gold, Silver and Bronze Divisions. The registration deadline for The Park City Extreme Cup is Friday, July 1st, although many of the age groups fill up in advance.

Each team is guaranteed at least three games, with pool play scheduled primarily on Thursday and Friday, and semi-final and final games generally played on Saturday.  A limited number of night games are played under the lights and special scheduling and check-in arrangements are available for out-of-town teams. The Extreme Cup is played at seven outstanding venues, widely acknowledged as the best in the State; the U.S. Men’s National Team and ReAL Salt Lake have trained on some of these same fields!

Sensational Setting.

The skies are perpetually blue and the temperatures mild during the summer in Park City.  The hillsides are covered with wildflowers, aspen groves and hundreds of miles of  trails for hiking and biking ~ the only things missing are the bugs.  Four world-class resorts: Deer Valley, Park City, Canyons and Utah Olympic Park offer adventures ranging from scenic lift rides, horseback riding and family activity zones to thrilling zip lines and summer bobsled rides. Live music is everywhere with free concerts offered frequently throughout the town and Deer Valley’s outdoor amphitheater attracting big names ranging from Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan to the Utah Symphony.  The Kimball Arts Festival lines Main Street during the weekend of the tournament, with plenty of shopping, grazing and dining available for everyone. At the other end of town, the Flying Ace All-Stars are sure to entertain with their aerial acrobatic show at the Olympic Park Splash Pool.
